Repairs done at your location, covered by a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty
What should you send with the booking?
Four things make the first reply useful: the year, make and model with the mileage; what the vehicle is doing, in your words, with the exact text of any dash message; where the vehicle sits, with the address and whether it is a driveway, an apartment lot, an office garage or a roadside; and a photo of the dash or the parking spot. The VIN, from the door jamb or the insurance card, lets the technician load the right tool and the right parts before leaving.
For a no-start, say what it does when you turn the key: a rapid click, one click, a normal crank with no start, or nothing. For a battery, say whether the vehicle has start-stop and where the battery lives if you know. For a key, say how many keys you have and whether the remote works. For an inspection, send the listing and the seller's location and times.
If you already have a quote from a shop or a dealer, attach it. Comparing it against the published ranges is a normal part of the conversation.
What happens after the message is sent?
The reply covers three things: whether the job can be done at your location or needs a diagnosis first, the range that applies from the published table, and the arrival window the van can offer. When the message includes the VIN and a photo, the reply can already name the likely repair and its range; without them it asks first.
Nothing is booked, ordered or charged until you confirm the window. When the van leaves the previous job you receive a real arrival time by text, and the written range for the repair arrives after the diagnosis, before any part is fitted.
Replies come from service@mobilemechllc.com or the number you leave, by text, call or email as you prefer.
How do hours and scheduling work for a van?
The van is on the road Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Sat: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Sun: Closed. Visits are booked into a window rather than an exact minute because the previous job can run long when a diagnosis turns up a second fault. A no-start, a vehicle blocking a driveway or a roadside call is scheduled ahead of routine work on the corridor it sits on.
Saturday hours (Sat: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) suit oil changes, batteries, brakes and inspections at homes; weekday mornings suit office lots and fleet yards before the crews leave. Say which days and times work and whether you need to be present; most jobs can be done with the key left at reception or with a neighbor.
The van covers 30 miles around zip 75228. Addresses beyond it are quoted with the travel stated, and the reply says which side of the line your city falls on.
Questions
How does booking a visit work?
Often, for a no-start or a roadside call, which are scheduled ahead of routine work. Routine jobs are usually within a day or two depending on the corridor the van is already on. Send the booking and the reply proposes the earliest window.
No. Leave the key at reception, with a neighbor or in a lockbox, make sure the vehicle is reachable, and the technician texts the findings, the range and the invoice. For a key programming job you or an authorized person must be present with ownership documents.
At the vehicle when the work is done, against the invoice that follows the approved range. No deposit is taken and no card is entered online. The accepted methods are confirmed when you book.
Yes. The booking, the written range, the explanation at the vehicle and any follow-up can all be in Spanish.
