Published ranges, call-out included where stated

Mobile mechanic prices in Dallas-Fort Worth

The call-out fee first, then the typical ranges for the common jobs, then what moves a figure inside its range. Every number is a range because the vehicle, not the address, decides the price.

Repairs done at your location, covered by a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty

What is the call-out fee, and when is it credited?

Call-out fee inside 30 miles of east Dallas
$49–$89 (pending owner confirmation)
Risk reversal
Charged when a visit ends without a diagnosis or a repair, for example a vehicle that cannot be reached or a job cancelled at the door. It is credited in full to any work you approve on site. The diagnostic fee and every published service range already include the trip inside the radius, so most customers never see this line on an invoice. The figure is a typical Dallas-Fort Worth range and is marked pending until Mobile Mech LLC confirms it.

Typical mobile-mechanic ranges for Dallas-Fort Worth, trip included inside 30 miles of 75228; each service page explains what moves its figure, and the written range for your vehicle is sent before any part is fitted. All ranges are pending confirmation by the owner.

How is a mobile visit priced?

Three ways, depending on what you book. A diagnosis is a single figure, $99–$169, that includes the trip and the testing; the repair that follows is quoted separately after the cause is confirmed. A known job, an oil change, a battery, brakes, a key, an inspection, is booked at its published range with the trip included. A visit that ends with nothing done, because the vehicle could not be reached or the job was cancelled at the door, is the call-out fee alone.

The call-out fee is credited whenever you approve work on site. In practice that means it appears on invoices only when nothing was done, and the line exists so the cost of a wasted trip is stated rather than hidden in a higher diagnostic fee for everyone else.

Beyond the 30-mile radius the travel is quoted separately when you book, and the reply says exactly what it adds. Inside the radius there is no distance charge; an address in Rockwall pays the same range as one in Casa View.

What moves a job inside its range?

The vehicle, first. A hood-mounted flooded battery on a Civic is the floor of the battery range; a trunk-mounted AGM on a BMW that must be registered and coded is the ceiling. Brake rotors on a compact cost a fraction of those on a heavy-duty truck or a German SUV. A spare key on a 2010 Ford is a different job from a smart fob on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz that needs an online security session.

Access, second. A starter under an intake manifold, an alternator that comes out from below, a battery behind a fender liner, a fuel pump that needs the tank dropped: each adds time, and time at the vehicle is what the labor portion of the range measures. The service page for each job says which vehicles sit at the top for this reason.

What the diagnosis finds, third. A no-start that turns out to be a corroded terminal is well under the battery figure; one that turns out to be a fuel pump is at the top of the no-start range. The written figure you approve comes after the cause is confirmed, so it is narrow, and it is the ceiling for the work.

How do mobile prices compare with a shop?

The parts cost the same; the labor rate is comparable; the difference is what is not on the invoice. No tow for a vehicle that will not start, no shop diagnostic fee on top of the tow, no ride to and from the shop, no day off. For a working vehicle the saving is time; for a vehicle that cannot move, the saving is the tow and the second diagnostic, which together often exceed the repair.

Dealer quotes for the programming and registration jobs are commonly higher because the dealer needs the vehicle on its lot for most of a day; the van does the same work at your address in under two hours. The published ranges let you compare any dealer or shop quote line by line, and the technician will tell you honestly when a job belongs at a shop.

Why are the prices marked pending?

Because the ranges on this site are typical of mobile work across Dallas-Fort Worth and have not yet been confirmed line by line by the owner of Mobile Mech LLC. They are published so you can plan and compare; the written figure you approve before any work is the price you pay, and it is sent after the vehicle is seen. When the owner confirms or adjusts a range, this page and the service page change together.

Nothing on this page is a promotion, a membership or a discount. The only credits are the ones described above: the call-out to an approved repair, the roadside assessment to a roadside repair, and the trip for fleet visits of three or more vehicles.
